Language connects the world, and education shapes the future. As the founder and principal of Ireland-China Education College (ICEC), I firmly believe in the transformative power of education — a force that transcends borders, nurtures the soul, and shapes a new generation with global vision.
I hold a Ph.D. in Education, a Teaching Certificate, and a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate. Over the past decade, I have been deeply engaged in Chinese language education in Ireland, teaching in a wide range of local primary and secondary schools. I have personally witnessed and contributed to the remarkable growth of Chinese language learning abroad. To date, I have taught more than 3,000 Irish students, some of whom have successfully completed the Leaving Certificate Chinese exam and achieved the highest grade — H1 level. In 2017, I was honored to be interviewed by China Central Television (CCTV), where I conducted a demonstration lesson at Loreto Bray Secondary School, actively promoting Chinese language education and fostering cultural exchange between China and Ireland.
As a non-profit educational institution, ICEC has become the largest Chinese language education provider in the south of Ireland, currently serving nearly 100 students. Our mission goes beyond language instruction — we strive to build a lifelong learning community that integrates language, arts, and culture. Supported by an outstanding and passionate team of educators, we uphold the principles of student-centered education, inclusive teaching, and personalized instruction. We are committed to professional development, the introduction of innovative teaching methodologies, and the cultivation of a warm, dynamic, and creative learning environment.
We emphasize holistic development, offering courses in visual arts, dance, and creative expression to stimulate students’ imagination and aesthetic awareness. Through joyful and engaging instruction, we inspire a genuine love for the Chinese language and learning itself. At the same time, we actively promote home-school collaboration, working closely with parents to create a solid foundation for each child’s growth and success.
Looking ahead, we will continue to advance curriculum reform, optimize educational resources, and pursue the establishment of Ireland’s first full-time English-Chinese bilingual school. We also plan to develop localized Chinese textbooks and expand our international cultural exchange programs. Through the school’s official website, we aim to strengthen communication between families and the school, share our educational philosophy, and highlight important updates and events.
Education is a lifelong mission that demands both vision and dedication. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, students, and partners who support Aihua Education College. Let us continue this meaningful journey together — nurturing future generations who are globally minded, culturally aware, and ready to connect the world.
