Music is the universal language of humanity! ICEC was honoured to host Ms. Wang Qian, a talented Chinese Guzheng musician, who provided students with a special introduction to this traditional instrument.
The Guzheng, a plucked string instrument, is a treasured part of Chinese musical heritage. Renowned for its beautiful tone, wide range, and rich expressive capabilities, it is one of the most distinctive and significant instruments in Chinese culture. Here in Ireland, it has been affectionately likened to a "horizontal harp."
As Ms. Wang's elegant and flowing performance filled the air, students and parents alike gathered to listen, captivated by the melody. Their expressions revealed that, perhaps, each person found their own story within the music.
